This is a little South African gem a true valuable Porsche 356 B T6 Cabriolet hand build right here in South Africa. The history of this special 356 B is that back in the early 1960s Lindsay Saker finalised an agreement to assemble semi knock down Porches locally. 50 to 60 packs were dispatched from Germany; unfortunately six or seven packs fell off the ship in the Suez Canal. The rest made their way to Johannesburg and assembly began. Clients were able to select the colour of their cars as the knock downs were only primed bodyshells. Other local content were their batteries, tyres, windscreens and interior trim. South Africa’s Johannesburg-built 356Bs were the only Porches to be assembled by a Porsche Importer anywhere in the world outside of Germany. This 356 B Cabriolet has been completely rebuilt by Carrera Motors. The ivory paint work is superb, complimented by the red leather interior. The soft top is in perfect condition. This nut and bolt restoration took many years to complete. Its superb attention to detail makes it great. The 356 B T6 is numbers matching car and comes with its birth certificate from Porsche confirming its origin and history. This is a must have ; she will creep into your heart.
