Introducing this beautifully restored Sunbeam Alpine Series 3, dressed to impress in her vibrant red coat with a tan leather interior but more on that shortly. Here’s a bit of background on this marque. The Series 3 of the Alpine was produced exclusively in 1963 and 1964, making it one of the rarest of the series with just 5,863 units built. Distinctive features of this model include the high fins with an integrated fuel tank, all-chrome bumpers, and the iconic Roots Group badge on the bonnet.
Now, let’s return to this Lady in Red. In June 2021, she underwent a meticulous restoration at The Heritage Workshop, led by John Allison, renowned for his expertise with Sunbeams and other classics. The restoration, documented in detail with photos, took John and his team five months to complete.
Notable changes include the tan leather seats and roof, as well as a newly redone dashboard veneer. However, aesthetics are just part of the charm. This little 1600cc sports car offers an exhilarating open-top driving experience, capturing the true spirit of rare English classics.
