Description
The E Type Jaguar was unveiled in March 1961 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car was an immediate sensation then, and today is viewed as one of the best cars ever made. This can clearly be attested to by the continuous demand by enthusiasts and collectors alike. From 1961 to 1975 Jaguar made three Series II’s. Of all three, the series II 4.2 litre is widely regarded as the pick of the bunch. This Series II 4.2Litre Fixed Head Coupe is a numbers matching car in excellent running condition. The motor has gone through a complete rebuild by Viv’s Motors in Bryanston as well as the engine bay which has been completely redone to “period correct” condition. The exterior paint work in Dark Blue is in good condition, with a few nicks here and there. The bright work shows some patina but is in great condition. The E-Type’s interior is finished in grey which compliments the exterior Dark Blue very well and the leather work is all in good condition showing no tears or scuff marks. The dashboard is nicely presented with clear and crisp instruments and proper toggle switches. The car is finished off with chrome wire wheels giving it the stance that makes the E-Type so famous.
