Description
Fiat produced the Dino sports car between 1966 and 1973.
It had rear-wheel drive and a front engine.
The name “Dino” is derived from the Ferrari Dino V6 engine used in the car for Formula 2 racing.
In 1967, F2 engines required six cylinders and a production of at least 500 examples within 12 months.
Fiat and Ferrari reached an agreement for Fiat to produce the 500 engines needed for compliance.
The Dino 2400 Coupe, originally silver-blue, was spray-painted Ferrari Giallo (yellow) by the current owner.
The car underwent a fuel system overhaul, as well as upgrades to the brakes and cooling system.
Only a few Dino 2400 Coupes are left in South Africa.
