Description
Apart from its role in Gran Torino alongside Clint Eastwood, and in Fast & Furious, the Torino’s will always be desired for its muscle car image and powerful performance.
Produced between ‘68-’76 the Torino was available as a two-door fastback, four-door sedan, convertible, station wagon, and the Ranchero pick-up. The fastback bodied Torino coupe was a very stylish car indeed and reasonably large too, at over 17ft long which is two-inches shorter than Dodge’s Charger for comparison.
This Torino has a lot more to it than they did back then. This car carries a 598Cu Inch 9.7L V8 under its hood, pushing out a whopping 750HP…. INSANE right? The list of extra’s go on to Rear disc brake upgrades, Aluminium prop shaft conversion paired to a strange 9 Inch ford housing diff with Detroit locker and Moser side shafts and a single plane intake with a dominator 1150 CFM paired to a Tremec T56 Magnum Cryo treated 6 Speed manual transmission and that’s just to name a few.
This 1972 Ford Gran Torino delivers all the best of the era and more.
