Description
Like almost every Porsche model before it the Porsche 930 Turbo had its origins in racing, in the early 1970s the factory decided to build an entrant suitable for the new FIA group A series. The first hint of this car was seen at the 1973 Paris Auto Salon, it was magical, full weapons grade body work, flared rear fenders, a deep front spoiler and a full width rear wing, it had but one word etched in its flanks “TURBO”. This 3.3 litre flat six produced 260 horsepower and was hot to trot, it went like a rocket and still does. This numbers matching Porsche 930 turbo was originally Sienna Metallic with all white interior trim but had a makeover in 2007. She is now Black on Black; the exterior is in excellent condition and the new Black leather interior is in superb condition with its racing style factory seats. The dashboard is perfect and sports an original Porsche radio / tape deck.
The Porsche 930 Turbo has had nine previous owners of whom most can be traced and spoken to and although there are no service books with the car there are lots of service records and proof of extensive work done by Porsche Cape Town to get the car into its current condition. A well-priced Porsche 930 Turbo is a must see.
