As if a 6.0 V12 wasn’t enough, the AMG engineers strapped two turbos on for some extra oomph. This resulted in a 450kW, tyre shredding monster. The engine was limited to 1000Nm of torque as the 5 speed AMG gearbox could not handle more.
This particular R230 SL65 AMG has been lovingly maintained and driven by its second owner for a substantial length of years. It’s covered less than 79,000km’s from new! Being the most exclusive SL in the line-up, it is jammed with tech; from keyless-go, bi-xenon headlights, PDC and adjustable pneumatic suspension known as ABC ride control. The only notable feature missing on the SL65 models is Distronic, purely because there wasn’t enough space in the engine bay.
