This 1942 Chevrolet AK 3100 pickup truck is finished in old English white with original black vinyl upholstery. The AK series truck was a light duty truck sold by Chevrolet, with production beginning in 1941 until 1947. The AK series’ appearance was no longer shared with the cars; the pickup trucks now had their own identity. Engines were available in a 216 ci S6 (3.5 litre) and the 228 ci S6 (3.7 litre), 3-speed manual box was standard. This 1942 Chevrolet AK series pickup truck has been meticulously restored back to its original specification. The bodywork has near perfect shut-lines complimented by its silky smooth paintwork in classic off white. The horizontal upper chrome grill is finished with vertical slats commonly referred to as the “waterfall grill”. All chrome work has been reworked and freshly chromed to match the original steel wheels & chrome hub caps.
