The Citroën Traction Avant was a range of mostly 4-door saloons and executive cars, with four or six-cylinder engines, produced by the French manufacturer Citroën from 1934 to 1957. Approximately 760,000 units were produced.
The Citroen in question is fitted with slatted Michelin Pilote wheels which were a distinctive feature of the sports versions of the Traction Avant. The car is Slough built featuring British electrics, wooden dash, leather seats and has a sprung steering wheel not common to these models, manufactured by Bluemels Brooklands. The interior has been restored and the car runs straight and true. The chrome work needs to be attended to and the bodywork needs respraying but nothing that needs immediate attention and makes great for a little project car. Fitted with the 1911cc motor she runs beautifully. Here in South Africa, the vehicle has an S license and is registered on the system.
If you are looking for a hobby to work on with your kids or you simply have an eye for Citroens, then don’t miss this opportunity!
Interesting trade-in’s will be considered.
