The Bel-Air needs no introduction, expect to say that is an icon in its own right and a rear car that was built here on our own shores of South Africa, making it a Right-Hand Drive version from the Factory. The Fourth Gen of the Bel-Air which underwent a redesign that carried Chevy into the early Sixties but saying that they only built them in 1959 and 1960 before a new body was designed in 61. Signatures of this Generation are the Cat Eye rear taillights and the flowing wings giving it a classic look and beautifully lines.
There isn’t much history on our beautiful old lady expect that we do know that she has been painted and is one of the rare ones that is right hand drive.
She is always quick to start and ticks over nicely but has a couple of quirks once it comes to driving her. Her ride is superb like a magic carpet and from the drivers sit one has a magnificent view of the world in front of you with the large windscreen and has a great presence on the road. The inter is large and spacious as most cars of the era were.
If you feel 59 is a good number for you and love America Classics, then you should have a look at this beauty.
