This 1960 Ford Galaxie Starliner is finished in a deep candy apple red and silver with grey leather upholstery. This Ford Starliner was the fastback version of the flagship Galaxie line of full-size Fords in 1960 and 1961. This Galaxie Starliner has been fitted with a custom big block crate (imported) 460 cu inch Ford V8 motor. The car’s custom two tone paint work matches perfectly with the chrome deep dish 20” Foose designed wheels. It is characterised by its thin roof pillars, fastback styling and slippery aerodynamics symbolising the jet age design. In 1960, this Starliner hardtop along with the Sunliner convertible, made up the Galaxie Special Series cars. This car utilised the high-level Galaxie trim, however the name on the trunk lid was replaced by Starliner script. The Starliner offered a suitable platform for NASCAR teams to build their race cars leaving few survivors today.
