1962 Mercedes-Benz 220SEB Fintail

R99,000

Work on replacing the Pontons began in 1956 with a design focused on passenger comfort and safety, and thus the 220 “fintail” was born. Series production of the 4-door saloon began in 1959 right up until 1968, proving a strong production run.

Introduced with a 2.2-litre inline 6-cylinder engine across the range for the W111 variants, it was the perfect match for the 220’s as it proved to be very reliable and also being able to provide more than adequate power outputs while still allowing for a smooth, comfortable driving experience.

The example we have on offer is the top-of-the-line 220SEb with a column-shift manual transmission, being finished in the correct black over red leather interior, paint and body present well with great grille, bumpers, trim and glass. It is showing 18800km on the clock but considering it’s age we can only assume it has already clicked over the 100000km mark.

Interesting trade-in’s will be considered.
