The name Riviera, Latin for coastline, was chosen to evoke the allure and affluence of the French Riviera. The Buick Riviera is a personal luxury car that was marketed by Buick from 1963 to 1999.
As General Motors’ first entry into the personal luxury car market segment, the Riviera was highly praised by automotive journalists upon its high-profile debut. It was a ground-up design on a new GM E platform debuting for the 1963 model year and was also Buick’s first unique Riviera model.
This Riviera is the redesigned 1966 model. She retained the cruciform X-frame, powertrain, brakes and engine, but her curvaceous new body is longer and wider and was also a six passenger car for the first time. Headlamps remains concealed, but now pivoted behind the grille when not in use, and horizontally arranged.
This baby is in very good condition but needs some TLC here and there like she needs a boot lock and air conditioner needs attention. BUT the mags on this vehicle are imported Raceline mags from USA valued at R35000 plus new coil springs also imported valued at R15000 and the original mags and tyres are included in the sale. Now this is a very good buy, be sure not to miss out!!!
