On offer is the Citroen DS, which is an in-vogue collectible classic currently… why? Because it’s such an actual joy to drive! It’s one of those cars that you would pick out of your collection to go to a wine farm and back with your family. Presented in a pristinely coated blue, she is without a doubt, simply a head turner.

Our Citroën DS was purchased new in Dec 1973 by a prominent family living in Worcester at the time.   The vehicle remained in the family for most of its lifetime and lived in the heart of the winelands in the Western Cape – which in today’s day and age is the perfect dry condition a collector loves to hear about, as it’s an ideal environment for a car of her age.

The car was serviced regularly by the agents and thereafter, by Mr Kurt Wittig who is well known as the Master of the DS. Mr Wittig resides in Somerset West and is considered to be the most experienced and knowledgeable mechanic and authority of the DS in the country, as well as known in DS circles worldwide. Now in his late 70’s, his passion remains, and the current owner has been fortunate enough to have had his expert hands looking after this particular model.

The current owner purchased the DS from the previous owners in Sept 2009 with Wittig continuing to meticulously service the car to this day with a FSH.

In early 2020 Wittig, this car was subject to a no-expense-spared resto and undertook a major restoration of the vehicle. This was during the early onset of Covid and 6 months later, the car was returned to its current state. This restoration has been to a top level expert and is without a doubt, the best Citroen we have come across in the country. It has an immaculate colour combination of the blue exterior and black interior pairing and has been done to an exceptionally high level, to the point where one begs the question.. can you even restore a car for the amount of money we are asking for this vehicle?

The vehicle has always been housed indoors, extremely well maintained and completely original. The restoration has been documented, which is inclusive of a full file of pictures as the restoration progressed. This vehicle also comes with fully documented service history, stamps, service books and more, which can all be made available upon request.
