As British Sports cars MG had a strong name in the sixties and seventies too. But not many people know that the MGB GT was designed by Pinniafarina and is probably one of the most stunning designs that came from them that isn’t a Ferrari. The MGB GT was produced from 1965 to 1980 with the standard engine been the 1800cc variant but was also available with Rover V8 and a 2.9Ltr straight six from the Healey’s. Just a fun fact the GT was a little slower than the roadster but faster on the top end due to the aerodynamics.
So, let’s chat about our MGB GT in her maroon dress. She a beautiful car that has had a lot of love poured into her, from the repaint to the finishing of the interior of the custom steering wheel and gear knob. But the draw card to this MGB’s has always be the hearty engine with its distinguished tone that is like on other 4 cylinder of its size. Then there is the ride and handling that is a nonsense approach to that is direct and ensuring that you know you are in a small sports car that is aiming to please.
This MGB GT is a great car for those longer road trips across our countryside looking for passes that you can test the capability of its rides.
