Launched in 1972, the Ford Granada (or Consul at the time, for the earlier models) replaced the Ford Zephr and quickly became a popular item amongst the Ford model lineup, as it was used by the UK police force as well as being used as taxis. Due to the immense popularity of the car, Ford also created a few other iterations of the Grenada including limousine and hearse versions.
The car was available as a four-door saloon, a five-door estate (Turnier), and a two-door fastback coupé. Engine options ranged from a 2.0L 4 cylinder all the way to a monstrous 5.0L V8 found in the South African exclusive Perana model, allowing for a wide variety to choose from depending on what you desired.
The model we have on offer is a 3.0L V6 in the fastback coupé guise, which proves the perfect sweet spot in the Grenada range. Finished in bright yellow paintwork over a tasty brown leather interior, this car is sure to get you buzzing to get in and go for a drive! With only 56660km on the clock, it still has a long life ahead to be enjoyed by its new owner. The car shows some slight patina on the exterior, but the level of care is shown by the outstanding quality of the interior finishes, showing no signs of wear whatsoever. It’s as if the car had just rolled off the production line back in 1975.
Here’s your chance to get your hands on a Ford icon, so be sure to get in touch with us should you be interested or have any further queries on the vehicle.
Interesting trade-in’s will be considered.
