The Mercedes-Benz R129 SL is a roadster which was produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1989 until 2001.
The R129 was offered as a two-door, two-seat roadster with an automated (electro-hydraulic), fabric convertible roof; colour-matched, automated tonneau cover; and a manually detachable hardtop that could be fitted over the stored fabric convertible roof and tonneau.
Designed in 1984, the R129 was based on the shortened floor pan of the Mercedes-Benz W124. This model features, electric windows, mirrors, and seats. Some of the other innovative features include a hydraulic convertible top, and side airbags amongst others.
This car has the distinction of being the first passenger vehicle to have seat belts integrated into the seats, and has a M119 5.0 L 32-valve DOHC V8 with 240 kW. She is well taken care of, with low mileage and is a fast, luxurious, and exhilarating daily driver!
