The SL range from Mercedes’ has always been their premiere open-top grand tourer, with a pinch of sporty character. They are most recognizable for their elegant and timeless designs throughout the generations, always offering the best in-cabin experience on the open road.

The R129 generation of the SL was first introduced in 1989 and it was the first Mercedes to feature a fully automatic, hydraulically operated fabric convertible top, projector lens HID headlamps (introduced in 1995), and an automatic rollbar which self-deployed in a rollover event. The retractable rollbar could also be raised or lowered manually using a switch on the console, and facilitated occupant safety without compromising aesthetics.

We are pleased to offer a 1997 example of the R129 SL500 with 126300km on the clock. Finished in the iconic silver exterior paintwork with grey interior and some wood trimmings on the centre console as well as on the steering wheel, it is a great specification and is sure stir up the right emotions.
