Hot Rods are a world of their own and one can say that two Rods are never the same as they are built by their owners with a touch of being different. This FJ ROD is such an awesome example and very unique.
Inspired by a friend of the owners that was building a Resto Mod Mercedes Benz SL190 with modern AMG underpinnings, came up with the Idea of mating a Mercedes ML Chassis with a Toyota FJ 45 Body and the 4.0l Quad Cam Lexus V8, and as you can see it was an awesome success.

So, let’s dig deeper into what this Rod has to offer, the build the ride and why you should look into buying this Rod.
As we said before this is a cross between three stables, Toyota, Lexus and Mercedes Benz. Maybe it’s best to break it down into its parts, starting with the Mercedes ML 350 Chassis.
When building a Hot Rod, the Base being the chassis is the most important as this gives you all the contact points, the wheels to the ground and the mounting to the engine and the body and this case it’s a 1999 ML Chassis. It offers you a fully independent suspension, modern brakes, and power steering. Then we have the Lexus Quad Cam 4.0l V8, this is a strong reliable workhorse that revs freely and pulls like a bullet train. We can say that she can be a screamer with the awesome side pipes.
And to complete the package is the Toyota FJ 45 Body which has been modified chopped and styled to be unique but still have the FJ look.
So basically, this is a turnkey and drive rod that needs for nothing. She is quick, a head turner and simply a lot of fun. But as one knows no Rod is complete until you have put your personal touch on the vehicle and made it your own.
