This British Racing Green Jag is quite unique as a XJ as it wasn’t a factory colour, but it doesn’t look out of place. We will come back to the paintwork shortly but here is a quick look at the history of the XJ.
The XJ name has been with the Jaguar since 1962 been the pinnacle of the luxury saloons that have followed over the years. Only in 2019 has the name discontinued, but Jag did have plans for building an electric version of the car. This version of the series is known as the X351 to those in the know and this is the been the last generation it was built from 2010 to 2019 with a total number of worldwide sales of the X351 from 2010 to 2016 was only 102 000 cars.
These Jags have carried the common businessmen, to Statesman, Royalty and even transported the Late Queen to her final resting place (which by the way she was involved with design of her Hearse) but that is enough about the past, let’s get into our X351, designed by Ian Callum the XJ received a complete in look from the exterior to the interior but still maintaining the classic Jag lines.
Let’s step into the luxury of this super saloon you are wrapped in a cocoon of class in tan and brown leather with dark wooden veneer accents, pressing the start button and the electronic dash and consul comes to life and the supercharged engine swings into life with a soft burble. Now we mean business, turn the gear selection dial to D for drive and the gas pedal of this kitten can be tickled or pushed hard as the supercharge V8 leaps forward and starts eating up the miles, as the tech in the suspension socks up the roads. And then it looks from the sleek xenon headlights to the J-style taillights, in its usual British racing green the car always looks like it’s in motion.
This XJ will happily play with the likes of BMW M Series, Merc AMGs and Audi’s RS’s but doing into style and luxury. So, if this is your groove give us a Call
Interesting trade-in’s will be considered.
