This 1961 Volkswagen Type 2 split-window Kombi is a left-hand drive from Brazil, the Kombi is finished in powder blue and two-tone white coachwork which has been recently done but still needs to be completely redone. This split window Kombi has 3 rows of bench seats finished in a combination of brand new beige & white vinyl upholstery and a new hood lining, the floor has new rubber matting throughout. The 1st generation of Type 2 was produced from 8 March 1950 through to the end of the 1967 model year. In 1961, the Type 2 Kombi received a 1493cc 42bhp flat-four engine, plus improved brakes and suspension. The Splitty is in running order, the Motor has been redone but does need tuning, the steering and brakes also need attention.
